Expand your mind, expand your business, and have tons of fun in Galveston Register now for the 2007 Texas REALTORS® Convention and Trade Expo!
This year’s Texas REALTORS® Convention sets up shop September 7-11 in Galveston. As always, the convention and trade expo gives you countless opportunities to renew old friendships and make new ones with fellow REALTORS® from across the state, listen to some of the most dynamic speakers in the country, pick up a few MCE credits while learning the latest industry trends, attend a party or two (or more), and check out the fantastic vendors at the trade expo.
This year’s event and location present the perfect combination to mix business with pleasure. The 32-mile-long island—only a short drive from Houston—boasts sun-splashed beaches, great restaurants, and a unique history. Enjoy all that Galveston has to offer—and there’s plenty—but don’t forget why you came to the coast in the first place.
Educational opportunities abound this year. During the first two days of convention, you have the opportunity to become a Certified Affordable Housing Specialist. This new 12-hour certification combines various MCE courses that equip Texas REALTORS® with the knowledge you need to increase the rate of homeownership and ownership retention in Texas. Later, hear from renowned speaker Rick DeLuca, who will show you how to work more efficiently and increase your sales volume at the same time. Join Mark Porter for technology tips that will make your life easier and more productive in real estate. These are just a few of the many educational offerings of this year’s convention.
The special events at the convention make the event memorable to many. Sunday, September 9, is REALTORS® Night Out, during which you will have the chance to visit the celebrated 1877 tall ship Elissa during a visit to Galveston’s historic waterfront. Add some great food, networking, and some shopping along Galveston’s famous Strand, and you have the perfect evening. Many of Galveston’s well-known restaurants will be open for dessert or an after-dinner cocktail.
All in all, the 2007 Texas REALTORS® Convention and Trade Expo offers you an experience you won’t soon forget. The August 8 housing deadline is fast approaching, and rooms are going fast, so make your reservations now. To register online, visit http://www.texasrealtors.com/.
