Cherie grew up in Connecticut. After college she married Peter Young and worked as a commercial casualty insurance underwriter until Lindsey and Geoff were born. Peter's insurance career moved them to Binghamton, New York where Cherie worked for the Lincoln Center Arts in Education Program. Another corporate move landed them in Texas in 2000, and Cherie started working for CCAR in 2002. She enjoys singing in the Plano Civic Chorus and the choir at the Church of the Epiphany. |
