CCAR Installation of Officers 2008
 


 Jacob Installed PLANO, Texas - The Collin County Association of REALTORS® held its 2008 Installation of Officers and Directors on the evening of January 26. The event's theme, "One County, One Voice," provided the backdrop for the installation of Jacob Narisi as CCAR's 2008 president. As Broker/Owner of Narisi & Company, a residential and commercial realty firm, Narisi now leads the fifth largest REALTOR® association in Texas, with more than 5,200 members.
   

Charles McMillan, president-elect of the National Association of REALTORS®, served as guest speaker and installing officer for the event. Installed under his direction were: President-Elect Kay Wright of Ebby Halliday REALTORS®, Coit; Secretary/Treasurer Dan Robertson of Park One Property Management; and Immediate Past-President Bob Baker of Keller Williams Realty Plano.

In addition, 12 new directors were installed to the CCAR Board of Directors. They include: Coyle Beard, Bobbi Bracco, Stacey Buettner, Karl Frey, Karen Link, Judy McKee, Mary Milford, Ed O'Connell, Bill Sabino, Sara Schulenberg, Sally Terrell and Cheryl Webb. They join returning directors: Mike Brodie, Martha Compton, Don Dahlberg, Florence Drake, Kathy Gordon, Meredith Held, Olin Jaye, Marvin Jolly, Sherry Lowry, John Lundquist, Betty Misko, Judy Patane, Mal Smith, Sheri Stinson and Gerald Vokolek.

 

 
The evening was also marked by the presentation of two special awards. Sherry Lowry of Keller Williams Realty Plano received the Realtor of the Year Award for her work on behalf of fellow REALTORS® during 2007.
 

Coyle Beard of Liberty Residential Mortgage received the Affiliate of the Year Award for his work and contributions to CCAR and its membership during 2007.

 

The installation of Narisi and CCAR's officers and directors was a formal affair, which included ballroom dancing with Phares Corder and his 13-piece orchestra. Narisi was installed by his first cousin, Phil Johnson, a Texas Supreme Court justice. Avis Wukasch, immediate past chairman of the board for the Texas Association of REALTORS®, served as master of ceremonies for the event.
