Jonna Fernandez Biography 

Jonna Fernandez joined CCAR as Communications Director in September 2007. Her passion for writing and communications led her to a bachelor's degree in Corporate Communication from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska and her master's degree in Public Relations from the University of Denver.

Jonna has a decade of experience serving in a public relations role for non-profit and higher education institutions. Prior to coming to CCAR, Jonna was the Manager of Public Information and Technical Communication for Cedar Valley College where she managed a small staff charged with all facets of public relations and marketing. Jonna brings with her a strong knowledge of project management in the areas of branding and Web site redesign, as well as a passion for editing the written word.

Jonna enjoys weekend adventures with her husband, Dedrick, and daughter, Isabelle. She is also a proud mother to a rambunctious tabby cat, Poseidon. An avid traveler, Jonna frequently visits her home state of Colorado; where she enjoys the snowy weather every chance she gets!
