June 25th- 28th, 2007: CCAR held its long-awaited keybox exchange at the Marriott Legacy Town Center. During the course of the 4-day event, our keyholders exchanged more than 9,700 old keyboxes for new ones. That represents a whopping 10 tons of new iBOXES! The event was staffed by SUPRA employees, CCAR employees, and lots of temporary help. All-in-all, more than 40 workers toiled to make the exchange a pleasant experience. While we had the occasional snafu, the majority of our keyholders left with smiles on their faces, and compliments about the ease of the process. Thanks to the guidance of SUPRA staff, which has lots of experience with these exchanges, and several members of our staff, the event was highly organized. We added a few twists to the usual SUPRA keybox exchange by implementing the option to use a proxy and the delayed return option. While these options made it a little more complicated for our staff, we believe this was an important value-added service for our members. When the event was over, we had only 750 new boxes left over. We have been exchanging these at our office at a brisk rate, approximately 80/day.
