Mary Milford has a dual background of law and real estate. She graduated from the SMU school of law with a JD and practiced law with the Law Offices of Earl Luna, in Dallas, until 1989. She took time out from her law practice, got her Broker's license in 1980 and worked full time in real estate sales for several years so that she could have a more flexible schedule which would allow her to travel with her husband.
She joined Collin County Community College in 1989 as a full time professor and became the Dept. Chair in 2000. She has guided the Collin College real estate program to a rating as an "exemplary" program by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board continously since 2000. She has been awarded many college and teaching honors including selection as the Outstanding Faculty Member of division and was selected to teach "Instructional Methodology" in Ivanova, Russia for 3 weeks. She has been an affiliate member of CCAR since 1989.
