CCAR Honored with 2024 Mark Lehman Governmental Affairs Achievement Award

Collin County Area Realtors (CCAR) was awarded the prestigious 2024 Mark Lehman Governmental Affairs Achievement Award at the Texas Realtors Winter Meeting in Austin.

This distinguished honor is presented annually to a local Texas Realtor association that has demonstrated exceptional performance in fundraising, grassroots engagement, and local governmental affairs initiatives.

The Collin County Area Realtors stood out in 2024 for its robust efforts in supporting TREPAC (Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee) and its grassroots advocacy campaigns. CCAR’s efforts in 2024 included innovative events and targeted advocacy in Collin County, where it successfully led initiatives that aligned with its mission to protect property rights and promote homeownership. These efforts were instrumental in driving both local policy changes and increased participation.

“Winning the Mark Lehman Award is a tremendous honor for CCAR, and we are proud to be recognized for our commitment to strengthening the Realtor community and advocating for policies that benefit homeowners,” said Jennifer Parker, CCAR President. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our members, volunteers and leadership team.”

CCAR’s advocacy work directly impacted several local legislative efforts, including those related to HOA regulations. “We are proud of the strides we’ve made this year to ensure the Realtor voice is heard in local and state policy discussions,” said Parker. “This award reflects our collective work in advocating for policies that help homeowners and protect private property rights.”

As the recipient of this prestigious award, CCAR will continue to build on its momentum in 2025 by focusing on expanding member engagement and strengthening local advocacy efforts to further protect the real estate profession and the rights of homeowners.
