As part of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR)’s ongoing commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the real estate industry, a new requirement has been introduced for 2025. Starting this year, all REALTORS® are required to complete at least 2 hours of Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training every 3 years—coinciding with the Code of Ethics training cycle. This training must be completed no later than December 31, 2027.

What You Need to Know

- Training Deadline: The new Fair Housing education requirement is now in effect and applies to all REALTORS®. The current cycle runs from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027.

- Required Training: You must complete a minimum of 2 hours of Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training, and this training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria set by NAR.

- New Members: If you’re a new REALTOR®, you must complete this training within 30 days of your membership application. This ensures that everyone entering the industry is equipped with a strong foundation in fair housing principles right from the start.

We appreciate your commitment to meeting this new requirement and to upholding the principles of fair housing in your business practices. Thank you for helping create a more just and equitable real estate community!
