The Collin County Association of REALTORS® is deeply saddened by the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and the countless others who have died in race-related incidents.
The injustice the Black community in our country has and continues to face must change. Our nation is hurting, and we feel overwhelmed with the amount of work that remains to be done to ensure all of our neighbors have the same liberties.
As a REALTOR®, Article 10 of our Code of Ethics demands that we do not discriminate against any person or persons on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
CCAR is committed to participating in initiatives that help to bring understanding and change to our association and communities. One such initiative is our Global Diversity Committee. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members from different races and backgrounds, this committee talks about and celebrates the differences and similarities that our various cultures and lifestyles have. We invite all of our members to be a part of this dynamic group and join the conversation.
CCAR is dedicated to continually finding ways to bring more initiatives to our association and communities that embrace unity and understanding. We invite your ideas and ask that you share with us at president@ccar.net.
We are stronger together – as an association, as neighbors, as people. And, together we will work towards a better future.
