Government Affairs/TREPAC March Recap

Thursday, March 28

This month’s Government Affairs/TREPAC committee meeting was a fun one with Allen City Councilman Dave Shafer joining us!

Councilman Shafer was able to update on us new residential & commercial projects coming up for the City of Allen.

Some of those projects include:

Land for residential development at McDermott & Custer

Retail, Entertainment, Townhomes and more along 121 & Chelsea

Improvements to Allen’s downtown area

Councilman Shafer is excited for these upcoming improvements and growth in Allen. These plans along 121 fit into the idea that Collin County is where we all can “Live, Work, and Play.”

Speaking of play, CCAR’s TREPAC Committee is excited to announce a few ongoing and in person events! Last Thursday, March 28 kicked off our third annual “TREPAC Office Challenge.” This year’s theme is Fight for the 50! We are encouraging brokerages of all sizes to join! This challenge will end September 26. For more information, please contact Government Affairs Event Coordinator, Ariz Karim, at ariz@ccar.net.

We also have our upcoming PAC the House 80’s Purple Party happening this Thursday, April 4. While registration for this event has closed, we encourage you to join our exclusive TREPAC Facebook group to never miss out on an opportunity to get involved!

We also encourage CCAR members to attend these meetings to stay up to date! We meet the last Thursday of every month from 3-5 p.m. in the CCAR Plano Banquet Room.
