Community of the Month
Murphy, Texas
Murphy, Texas, was originally a farming town that stayed a small, barely on the map, community until the late 1900s when families noticed that most land lots were at least an acre. As the town grew, people saw Murphy as the perfect place to raise a family while working in the city.
Today, Murphy is a bedroom community with a rural feel that is an excellent fit for Dallas-area families. The City of Murphy has a minimum lot size, so you will see large, sprawling lots in Murphy and parks and bike trails throughout neighborhoods to give residents the feel of living in the country. New housing developments are popping up all around Murphy, giving its residents plenty of real estate options.
